We are a married team of freelance translators and interpreters with university degrees in Linguistics and in Translation-Conference Interpreting, respectively. We represent our own Translation-Interpreting Office, LOGOTEC Language Services, and have developed in time a reliable network of professional language collaborators in Europe and in the USA. Computer Hardware & Software:
We currently utilize state-of-the-art personal computers (OS: Windows 98/ME, Windows 2000), MAC (MacOS), Laptops, Printer and Fax.
Among standard software packages, we have competence in using Adobe Acrobat (Reader and Exchange), Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Interleaf, FrameMaker, QuarkXpress, PageMaker, Works, Visio, Corel Draw and others.
Our use of CAT tools (such as DéjàVu 3.5 and XP; Transit 2.7 and Satellite PE; Trados 5 and 6.5), as well as on-line, hard-copy and CD-ROM dictionaries and reference materials (from the famous editing houses Oxford, Thesaurus, H. Collins, Webster’s, Hachette, Gusdorf, Larousse, DeAgostini, Hoepli, Garzanti, Giuffrè Editore, Brandstetter, Langenscheidt, Reuter-Reuter, De Gruyter, Polygraph Verlag, Ed. Grammar, Teora, Litera.ro, Polirom, Ed. Juris Argessis and Ed. Tehnica) result in efficient and reliable work, providing for maximum quality in the translations offered by us.
We proofread our own translations in order to ensure the highest quality of our services. Moreover, we have established a reliable network of professional collaborators for different target languages and we work together as a team in order to manage larger projects and fulfill our clients’ requests. We also create and update individual databases for each of our clients.
Our rates are calculated per source word, characters, line, or page. All our fees are dictated by the German market and are negotiable to a certain extent, depending on the projects’ requirements and their difficulty level.
